The Lincolnshire Housing Strategy 2009-14 ‘Delivering for Lincolnshire' outlines a series of tasks to achieve a key objective of meeting the affordable housing needs of rural communities. One of these key tasks was to establish a Lincolnshire Rural Affordable Housing Partnership (LRAHP) including funding for Rural Housing Enablers.
Its aim is:
"To improve the quantity and quality of rural affordable housing in a cost effective manner, contributing to the creation and maintenance of sustainable rural communities, by organisations working together co-operatively".
Membership is drawn from Lincolnshire County Council, East Lindsey District Council, West Lindsey District Council, North Kesteven District Council, South Kesteven District Council, South Holland District Council, Boston Borough Council, The Homes and Communities Agency, Community Lincs and three housing associations that deliver most of the rural affordable homes in the County, namely, The Longhurst Group, Waterloo Housing Group and Lincolnshire Rural Housing Association.
As the project developed and this website was formulated the brand name for the organisation moved to 'Living Lincolnshire' and the 'Living Lincs' website became a reality.
Living Lincolnshire will now provide a tool for all partnership members to maintain an up to date vehicle for progress relating to rural Affordable Housing developments within their area, all being viewable on one site and allowing for direct links back to each partner organisation.
Further details and links to the current members are listed at the foot of this page.
